I appreciate your considering us as your service provider.
We know the economy "stinks" but Alaska is still worth that sacrifice.
You can always replace money
but you can not replace a lost opportunity
Most providers believe visitors’ numbers will fall-off this season.
My attitude is that you don't make the mistake of delaying or postponing your visit because of GLOBAL financial concerns. WHY? There will be even less crowding.
Everything I can do to help with your planning please ask. Heck, you might just decide to stay. I did, (30 years ago), and only regret not coming twenty years sooner. So...welcome to the best place (ever) to visit and/or live the rest of your life.
Though not primarily a vacation planner I'm pleased to share some 'sourdough' (OLD TIMER'S) information that will help ensure you 'chicako's' (NEW COMER'S) have the best possible adventure within your visiting schedule.
Your first question to your guide should be..."how does one become an Alaskan sourdough"?
The REAL Alaskan answer is quite amazing.

I appreciate full value for my hard earned dollar and believe I provide the same quality assurance, and competitive pricing, to my customers. Too many times when traveling I have felt I was overpaying for a service simply because that service market was restricted, and I have always found a welcomed reassurance when a competitive service provider was available.
Of course, there is always a need to maintain a business profit to continue service, pay our suppliers and compensate my Alaska resident employees who depend heavily upon their seasonal earnings for their off-season livelihood and family necessities.
SO HERE'S THE DEAL! In response to those hard facts I have began the conversion of the diesel buses to 100% WVO (waste vegetable oil) alternative-fuel to diesel operation. My savings in fuel costs allows us to ensure our fleet maintenance remains at the highest levels while providing competitive fares.
This WVO (alternative-fuel for diesel engine operation) allows me to provide a fairly priced transportation service that is reliable, aggressive and competitive. The single gasoline vehicle in service, a Ford 15-passenger van, has been modified with a Hydrogen Cell Operating System to improve the gasoline fuel emissions and economy. It will remain in service until it can be replaced with an alternative Bio-fuel-diesel vehicle.
